This is a truly stunning and magical piece! This Shamanic Talking or Spirit Stick is crafted from a beautiful piece of locally found Mistletoe which has grown onto and connected with Poplar wood. 
The storms brought down a lot of Poplar trees many of which hung heavy with swathes of Mistletoe. Where the the Mistletoe grew onto and into the branches of the trees these stunning growths formed where the woods and energies intertwined and this is one such piece of hybrid wood!
Mistletoe is the The Golden Bough, worshipped and revered by the Druids and is a truly mystical and magical plant. In the Ogham tree Calendar, Mistletoe has its own special day, called the day of  'A year and a day' as December 23rd is a day that is between the thirteen lunar months and two days after the Winter Solstice.  Mistletoe brings the energy of good health, protection and fertility and can be used for exorcism. 
Poplar wood has an incredibly diverse energy, allowing it to be an all-purpose wood for magickal workings. The diversity of the energy in this wood makes it useful for evocation as well as banishment rituals. It is also strong with the elements of hope, rebirth, and divinations. 
Poplar being a sacred Celtic tree we have also burnt the Ogham symbol of eadha onto it for extra energy. 
The natural shape of the wood has been lovingly respected and we have decorated the piece with an Awen symbol. We have woven and bound natural suede thread with a beautiful Sodalite circle, along with cruelty free naturally moulted feathers and vintage beads to add additional movement to help carry your words, prayers and wishes. 
The finished piece has then been lightly waxed with our own natural beeswax, olive oil and lavender hand-blended wax and given a little polish. Size approx length 39cm / 16".
