Stunning Shamanic Shamanic Rattle with Witches Knot, Myrrh, Quartz and Cherry wood handle handcrafted by us in our rural workshop. The bowl of this rattle is hand sewn and filled with Quartz for high vibration and clearing and Myrrh resin for cleansing and connecting. We have painted a Witches Knot on one side and a Sacred Spiral on the other. The handle is made from a beautiful piece of locally found Cherry wood. 
Cherry ritual objects are very strong with Earth energy and very well grounded, unwavering, and solid. Cherry is used in ritual to stabilize and focus. Cherry is often used for intuitive and insight and to overcome obstacles. Cherry is imbued with the powers of making and doing, achievement, and self-assertion over obstacles and critics. he Witches Knot also known as the Magic Knot is a powerful feminine charm and symbol of protection against curses and hexes. Our ancient sisters were well versed in the craft of knots using them to tie up the weather, create circles of protection and to bind things magically. There is more symbolism in this seemingly simple knot than first meets the eye. 
The symbol features four inter-laced vesica piscis (the mathematical shape formed by the intersection of two disks with the same radius, intersecting in such a way that the center of each disk lies on the perimeter of the other, most commonly seen in the Flower of Life symbol) The vesica piscis is a world-wide symbol for the yoni, the feminine creative force that gave birth to the universe. The interlacement represents the feminine control of the forces of nature. The circle is one of the primary female symbols representing the sacred or consecrated space and the spirals form the sign of the serpent, the oldest symbol of female energy, the embodiment of enlightenment and wisdom. This combination of cogent symbols makes the Witches Knot a potent representation of female might and power!
We have left the beautiful bark on and finished it with a little of our homemade lavender, beeswax and olive oil polish for protection, recycled leather fringe trim, cruelty free naturally molted feathers and vintage beads. Approx 36cm / 14" length.
