Stunning Shamanic Rattle with Bee, Frankincense and Moonstone with a Poplar wood handle, handcrafted by us in our rural workshop. The bowl of this rattle is hand sewn and filled with moonstone for Divine Feminine connection and healing and Frankincense resin for cleansing and connecting. We have painted a Bee on one side and a flower stem on the other. The handle is made from a beautiful piece of locally found Poplar wood.
Poplar Wood is strong with the elements of hope, rebirth and divinations. Plato makes a reference to the use of Poplar as an aid in divination. It is aligned with the elements of Spirit, Water, and Fire and Poplar objects have an incredibly diverse energy, allowing it to be an all-purpose wood for magickal workings. The diversity of the energy in this wood makes it useful for evocation as well as banishment rituals. 
Poplar is one of the sacred Celtic woods, so we have added the Poplar Ogham symbol of eadha to the piece for extra strength and connection.
Bees are a symbol associated with life, creativity, hard work, community, success, prosperity, and abundance. Telling the bees is a Western European tradition in which bees are told of important events, including deaths, births, marriages and departures and returns in the keeper's household. If the custom was omitted or forgotten and the bees were not "put into mourning," then it was believed a penalty would be paid, such as the bees leaving their hive, stopping the production of honey, or dying.
We have decorated the handle with a fern spiral and finished it with a little of protective oil, recycled leather fringe trim, cruelty free naturally moulted feathers and vintage beads. Approx 35cm / 13.5" length.

We are very mindful to pay our respects to the animals spirit and ask for its blessing as it is reborn as a wonderful sacred object. Our rattles are made using goat hide which brings with it the spirit of this confident and balanced creature.
