Sage Spirit Smudge Sticks are made from a combination of sage, cedar sweetgrass and lavender, which is then wrapped with 100% cotton string. Each of these herbs is considered sacred and they have been used for centuries by Native Americans and indigenous people for smudging ceremonies. 
Smudging is the name given to the burning of these sacred herbs for the purpose of cleansing, purifying and sending out prayers. This is an excellent practice for clearing negative energy from a space, person or object and can be used as a preparation before meditation, healing or spiritual practices.
