This beautiful Crystal Grid is crafted from Devon Ash wood and features the Vegvísir Symbol and it  can be used as a focus for your crystal meditation. The wood has truly stunning grain patterns and we have left the bark on to keep it as natural as possible, there's even a little moss still attached!  We are blessed to be guardians of a small woodland in Devon and this grid is made from English Spalted Ash from a 90yr old which had fallen. Ash symbolises and encourages peace of mind, wisdom, brain power, understanding, ambition, strength and good health and offers strong protection for the home
Ash is a hermaphrodite tree carrying both female and male energy and  is closely aligned to the elemental Earth. Ash is a sacred tree of the Celts and the Greeks associated this tree with Neptune and Mercury. The Druids associated this tree with the adder. The Nords held this tree sacred to Woden (Odin), the Nordic World Tree, Yggdrasil, is an Ash tree and is considered to be the father of all trees. The Welsh associated this tree with the God Gwydion. It is considered to be the Tree of Life.
The Ash tree and its wood help instil peace of mind and good health and it contains the qualities of reliability, faithfulness and loyalty. 
Ash being a sacred Celtic tree we have also burnt the Ogham symbol of nion on the bottom for extra energy and protection.
The Vegvisir is a Norse protection symbol, often called the Viking Compass or Runic Compass. It is a guidepost or direction sign for those journeying and can be found among other places in the 17th century Icelandic grimoire called Galdrabók (‘magic book’). Vegvísir was drawn on one’s forehead with blood to prevent a person from getting lost. 
It has been lightly waxed with our own natural beeswax, olive oil and lavender hand-blended wax and given a little polish. Size approx 20cm / 7.75".
We have chosen to display with quartz crystals for their pure and strong energy plus a Quartz central crystal and a Quartz connector point, but you can use any crystals you are particularly drawn to.
