This beautiful Ceremonial Smudge Fan has been lovingly created from found antler and naturally moulted cruelty free feathers. Each fan is handcrafted intuitively using a combination of materials that are called together and this particular fan is approx 30cm / 12" long and includes a variety of feathers on an antler handle with a hand bound wire cuff, elephant charm and recycled leather fringe. We've added a spiral vine for extra energy and the piece has been finished with our homemade beeswax, olive oil and cedarwood polish.
The deer's antlers are one of the characteristics that have made it the figure of a spiritual superiority, as like a crown, the antlers grow beyond its body, bringing it closer to the sky and making it sacred. In many cultures, the deer is a symbol of spiritual authority. It is important that the animal from which the antler came from is both acknowledged and respected and we only use found found or vintage antlers in our magical tools. 
We collect native feathers whenever we find them, collect the fallen ones from our friends pet Guinea foul and Peacocks and also source them from an ornithologist friend who spends most of his time in nature and helping with rescue and conservation projects. All the feathers are naturally moulted, not plucked from birds reared for food or shot for conservation purposes. Having these beautiful sacred objects knowing in our hearts that no creatures have been harmed is something which is very important to us.
