This beautiful Ceremonial Smudge Fan has been lovingly created from Cherry wood and naturally moulted cruelty free feathers. Each fan is handcrafted intuitively using a combination of materials that are called together and this particular fan is approx 32cm / 13" long and includes a variety of feathers on a Cherry wood handle with a hand bound thread cuff, vintage beads and recycled leather fringe. We've kept the bark on the piece and added a sacred spiral design for extra energy.
Cherry ritual objects are very strong with Earth energy and very well grounded, unwavering, and solid. Cherry is used in ritual to stabilize and focus. Cherry is often used for intuitive and insight and to overcome obstacles. Cherry is imbued with the powers of making and doing, achievement, and self-assertion over obstacles and critics. It is the pure energy of will and desire. The cherry fruit is magically linked to the root chakra and the life force of attraction and renewal.
We collect native feathers whenever we find them, collect the fallen ones from our friends pet Guinea foul and Peacocks and also source them from our friend Srdjan who is an ornithologist and spends most of his time in nature and helping with rescue and conservation projects. All the feathers are naturally moulted, not plucked from birds reared for food or shot for conservation purposes. Having these beautiful sacred objects knowing in our hearts that no creatures have been harmed is something which is very important to us.
