This beautiful ceramic Chalice with Wheel of the Year, Goddess and Triple Moon design has been crafted, glazed and fired in our Devon workshop. It has been glazed on the inside so is suitable for holding your chosen liquid when used as an offering chalice during ceremonies. It could also double as a vase for fresh flowers or herbs on your altar. Approx size 12cm / 4.5" high x 8cm/3" wide. It is rustic construction making it very tactile to hold.
The Pagan Wheel of the Year symbols represent the 8 points in the year when the energies change and they are a time of celebration. The year starts with Samhain (Halloween) on 31st October and there is a changing point approx every 6.5 weeks from there on being, Yuletide (Winter Solstice), Imbolc (Candlemass), Ostara (Spring Equinox and often Easter!), Beltane (May day), Litha (Summer Solstice), Lammas/Lughnasadh (First Harvest) and Mabon (Autum Equinox). These were important times to our ancestors who lived on the land and relied on the earths bounty to survive. The Goddess symbol pulls together the Wheel of the Year energies and The Triple Moon reflects the aspects of the Goddess and also represents our mind, body and spirit trinity.
